Design
The Ford F-250 is a three-quarter ton truck that offers multiple configurations to fit your needs. The Super Duty is available with a regular cab, an extended cab (this is referred to as a SuperCab) or a four-door cab (also called a SuperCrew). This cab can be paired with either a long bed (eight feet) or a regular bed (six feet).
Power and Performance
The Super Duty offers multiple engine options. The standard engine is a powerful 6.2-liter V8 gasoline engine that produces up to 385 horsepower under the Super Duty's hood and a notable 430 pound-feet of torque. This is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Optional engines are the 7.3-liter V8 gasoline engine that offers 430 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. The six-speed transmission that is standard can be swapped for a ten-speed automatic.
Need even more performance and towing power? Opt for the 6.7-liter Power Stroke® diesel that puts out a whopping 475 horsepower and an extraordinary 1,050 pound-feet of torque.
Keep in mind that the Super Duty offers an add-on package nicknamed the Tremor. This package tweaks the Super Duty's suspension and tires so that the F-250 is more of an off-road vehicle.
Trim Levels
The F-250 is built with the working person in mind, but various trim levels of the Super Duty give folks from all walks of life something to enjoy. Let's take a look at what each trim of the Super Duty offers today's driver.
The base trim level of the F-250 is known as the XL. This is a great work truck, but drivers will be surprised at how much you get on a "base" level truck. The XL offers access to the Ford SYNC infotainment system that offers an interactive eight-inch touchscreen monitor. Utilize software such as Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ to carry out voice activated commands. With this software, you can even make calls or send text messages simply by asking Siri or Alexa to access your contacts.

The King Ranch is one of the most popular trim levels, as it adds:
